Christmas Tree Lane {Linky Party}

Welcome to Christmas Tree Lane {A Tour Of Homes}
We're all decorated for the holidays, the fireplace is lit and warming our small home, the spices are simmering on the stove so grab a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy the tour!

We're filled with the holiday spirit after the "winter" storm that hit yesterday. The children couldn't get enough of the rain. They ran to the window several times checking to see if their toys were okay. We snuggled in our jammies and watched holiday movies all day.

Here's a peek at our Christmas tree all lit up. The ornaments and ribbon have been pulled down about five times already. Miss A. is notorious for pulling off the ornaments and setting up fancy displays all over the house. Anyhow...this is our family tree which resides in our small living room. The 6 ft. tree is decorated with poinsettia blooms, cascading ribbons, and ornaments in rich reds and golds. Every October, I head to the local holiday store and purchase about 5 new ornaments for our tree. Everything on my tree is dripping in glitter . I just love how the glitter sparkles under the white twinkling lights. Take a look at some of my favorite ornaments...

{Old World Globe} I usually have my Old World, vintage inspired Santa's gracing the tree but I was worried about little chubby hands grabbin' at them.

{Noel Signage} I'm all about big ornaments and words on my tree. Put em' together and you get big words! I love this ornament because it's super chunky, no chubby hands breaking this one!

More gold...we've got reindeer in silver and gold, and glittered gold. I bought some more for the tree this year {but sadly, I misplaced them}.

{More signage}

This is my favorite ornament. When I spotted this one in the store, I snatched them up right away. It's a perfect fit for our home...Santa kneeling in prayer before baby Jesus. Oh, I love it!!!

Here's a peek at the mantle in our tiny home. Old World Santa's posing next to my porcelain angel. I bought this angel while back while shopping with my mom. My mom gushed when she saw it saying..."she looks exactly like you when you were in the angel in the church Christmas play." Yes, long blonde curls and a sweet little angel costume....that's basically me at 4 years old!

This sweet little set-up is on our t.v. stand {chest of drawers, really} It's an espresso color and I love the contrast of the silver candelabra. This is my little silver and gold corner of the house. I picked up this little steeple candle holder at the thrift store for $1.00...can't wait to change it up a bit. For now, it's fine the way it is.

This little Anna Lee vintage santa doll hangs on our living room lamp. The kids love it because he's the only one they're allowed to play with. He's on and off of that sign 20 times a day {no joke}.

A sweet little elf waiting outside Miss A's bedroom door. We've used him in lieu of this year's advent calendar. We jot down little notes and scripture verses relevant to our family devotions and pop them into the elf basket. Once in a great while the kiddos can find treats like crayons, stickers or yummy snacks waiting for them.

This is Miss A's bedroom tree. She asked for shabby and Mommy delivered. I not done decorating her room yet...I still have a garland swag to hang over her window and it will be done. She had originally asked for a purple tree but we compromised on a white tree with purple ornaments. It's a tiny tree but it fits perfectly atop her bookshelf.

There's lots of purple and white in this room...I love it! It's the one room in our house that's girly. Next to her "shabby tree" you'll find the little tree I surprised her with last week. I made it from "fun-fur" yarn. She loves falling asleep to the glow of Christmas lights and I love decorating and surprising her with all this yummy stuff!
Well, that's it folks! I hope you enjoyed your brief tour of my home...now, it's your turn! I hope you're ready to play along...just take some pics of your holiday decor and link up! Can't wait to see your homes.
